About the role

Position overview

Everpure is expanding its Cloud Native / Portworx service business across the Asia Pacific and Japan region, with a focus on Australia and New Zealand. This role delivers technical leadership for Portworx Enterprise, PX-Backup, PX-DR, and modern virtualization (KubeVirt) initiatives. You will guide innovative ideas into production systems while solving complex infrastructure challenges in fast changing environments. Your contributions will directly influence how enterprise teams use data inside Kubernetes clusters across the region.

Location and engagement

The position is based in Sydney, Australia. The role targets professionals with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Compensation is structured at $180,000 AUD base for this position.

Design and architecture support

You will partner with Portworx Delivery and Solution Architects to lead design and architecture workshops. During these sessions, you will gather detailed customer technical requirements and document the current technical environment. Your responsibilities include identifying integration points with Kubernetes, storage, and backup solutions. You will help document design decisions, covering storage and backup workflows, high availability and disaster recovery configurations, scalability plans, as well as networking and security considerations. You will translate prospect and customer needs for Cloud Native Kubernetes deployments into clear, actionable implementation plans.

Deployment and operations

You will design, install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Portworx based solutions following industry best practices. This includes using Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts for consistent deployments. You will deploy and operate Portworx solutions such as Enterprise, PX-Backup, and PX-DR across diverse Kubernetes environments, including OpenShift, Rancher, VKS, and other orchestrators, on premises and in public cloud platforms. You will ensure proper configuration of Portworx against underlying storage platforms like FlashArray and FlashBlade, optimizing for performance, scale, and reliability. You will lead API and microservices deployments and manage day two operations, including monitoring through Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools while applying alerting best practices. You will also support CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet in Portworx delivery contexts.

Customer support and enablement

You will serve as the initial technical contact for Portworx support cases, handling break fix inquiries and Request for Enhancement requests within assigned accounts and regions. You will collaborate closely with Portworx Support and Product Engineering teams to ensure excellent customer experiences and timely issue resolution. You will validate and test changes before production implementation and remediate issues identified during testing. In addition, you will conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for customer teams to strengthen their ability to operate Portworx platforms independently. You will maintain clear ongoing communication with customer stakeholders and the Everpure delivery team regarding project status, risks, and operational updates.

Requirements

You are comfortable working directly in production Kubernetes environments and possess strong command of container workflows. You understand storage systems, networking rules, and backup patterns in cloud native settings. You communicate clearly with both technical and executive stakeholders while adhering to strict timelines. You have experience troubleshooting critical infrastructure issues while preserving service continuity.

Prior experience supporting enterprise technology adoption within Asia Pacific and Japan environments is valued.
