What you'll do
- Oversee the procurement process for materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing from suppliers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, utilizing inventory management software to track stock levels and reorder materials as necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand material requirements for upcoming projects and ensure availability.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms of service to optimize procurement efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to foster reliable partnerships and ensure quality materials are received.
- Prepare and analyze reports on material usage, costs, and supplier performance to inform decision-making and improve processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Facilitate the timely distribution of materials to various project sites, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in materials management and inventory control.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in materials coordination or inventory management, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to materials handling and storage.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
