What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for various engineering projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Conduct detailed engineering analyses, including thermal, fluid dynamics, and structural assessments, to validate design concepts and ensure reliability.
• Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and project plans, to facilitate clear communication among stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional development within the team.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes and methodologies.
• Liaise with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all engineering practices and project implementations.
• Participate in design reviews and technical presentations, articulating complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on design and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering design tools.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering projects from conception through execution.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and simulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment and managing cross-functional relationships.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in specific industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, or manufacturing.
