What you'll do
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and civil engineers, to create integrated solutions that enhance project outcomes.
- Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate electrical designs, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all electrical engineering tasks are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, providing them with the necessary support and resources to grow in their roles.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including design specifications, calculations, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to incorporate best practices into engineering processes.
- Participate in client meetings to present design concepts and provide technical expertise, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on electrical engineering concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure that all engineering practices adhere to safety regulations and quality standards, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies, identifying areas for efficiency gains and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC and IEEE.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
Nice to have
- Experience in renewable energy projects or smart grid technologies.
