About the role
The owns the end-to-end oversight of hospice operations within the Kansas City region, ensuring that every patient encounter reflects the organization's commitment to "To Care is an Honor." This role owns the design and execution of clinical workflows that coordinate direct and indirect patient services delivered by interdisciplinary teams in home settings. The hire will partner closely with the Director of Nursing to implement quality assurance processes, interpret regulatory requirements, and uphold the standards that define Ennoble Care's reputation for excellence. They will own the evaluation of patient appropriateness, supervise clinical staff performance, and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decisions. This leader is responsible for maintaining the integrity of chart documentation, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with Medicare, state, and ACHC regulations. The role requires active participation in quality improvement initiatives and the ability to adapt clinical strategies to meet the evolving needs of patients across diverse communities. By engaging in ongoing education and professional development, the Clinical Director will model the growth and learning expected of the entire clinical team.

What you'll do
Coordinate and oversee direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel across the Kansas City region.
Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff to ensure the quality of services and maintenance of Ennoble Care standards.
Perform chart audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.
Gather data for QAPI initiatives and actively participate in quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery.
Appraise clinical staff performance during their probationary period and annually, providing teaching and counseling to elevate professional practice.
Identify and evaluate patient needs and appropriateness of home care by reviewing the initial intake screening form before assignment of direct care staff.
Assist with the orientation of new personnel and deliver in-services to current staff to maintain high levels of clinical competence.
Ensure adherence to Medicare, State, and ACHC regulations by all clinical staff under their supervision.
Assist the Director of Nursing with additional responsibilities as requested to support operational and clinical priorities.
Assume responsibility for self-development by pursuing formal education, attending workshops and conferences, and engaging in professional reading.
Maintain adequate and appropriate medical supplies to support safe and effective patient care in the home environment.
See patients in the home setting as needed to assess care delivery and address clinical concerns directly.
Support the implementation of remote patient monitoring and other program offerings aligned with Ennoble Care's continuum of care model.
Act as a clinical resource for staff, patients, and families to promote trust, transparency, and positive outcomes.
Requirements
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold an active Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas.
The Clinical Supervisor must possess at least one of the following: a Bachelor of Science in nursing with two years of combined public health nursing and progressive professional responsibilities in public health nursing, or three years of combined public health nursing and progressive professional responsibilities in public health nursing.
Must have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in home hospice or skilled home care, with hospice experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community in a professional and empathetic manner.
Knowledge of business management principles, governmental regulations, and ACHC standards essential for this role.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and a positive attitude toward self and others.
Commitment to achieving organizational goals through enthusiasm, collaboration, and accountability in all interactions.
Must be able to travel to and from patient homes for supervision of care as scheduled and required.
Practical notes
This role is primarily a desk job with minimal and occasional lifting of medical supplies and charts.
On occasion, the position may require bending, stooping, reaching, and moving patient weight up to 250 pounds lift and/or carrying up to 30 pounds.
Travel is required to and from patient homes when supervision of care is scheduled.
The ability to access patients' homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible is required.
Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to deliver patient care.
Use of computer, multi-line telephone, calculator, copier, and other office and medical equipment is necessary for job functions.
Position may be stressful due to the nature of hospice care and patient-family interactions.
