About the role
The hire will oversee daily operations of mobile primary care, palliative care, and hospice services in the Waco, TX market. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality care while managing staff and optimizing operational processes. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with referral sources and community partners. The hire will monitor budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to support sustainable growth. What you'll do
- Supervise daily operations of home-based primary care services, including scheduling of patient visits and new patient intake.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, referral sources, and community partners.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare delivery.
- Formulate and implement operational policies and procedures designed to improve efficiency and quality of care.
- Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to optimize fiscal responsibility.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to uphold and enhance care standards.
- Coordinate on-call schedules, overseeing rotations across clinical and medical staff to guarantee 24/7 coverage, continuity of care, and clear escalation protocols.
- Partner with credentialing and licensure functions to ensure the maintenance of collaborative practice agreements and rigorous quality oversight.
- Administer the residency program in collaboration with academic affiliates, handling rotation schedules, preceptor assignments, accreditation compliance, and resident onboarding.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of healthcare professionals in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care delivery.
- Perform performance evaluations and deliver ongoing training and development opportunities to staff.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
- Ensure patient care plans are developed and executed in accordance with best practices and individual patient needs.
- Work closely with the Care Coordination function to align clinical needs and service delivery.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Possess over three years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably within home healthcare or hospice services.
- Demonstrate practice management experience, including clinical workflow oversight, billing, and utilization management.
- Have experience managing on-call schedules and ensuring 24/7 clinical coverage.
- Show strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance standards.
- Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prove ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Display strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
