- Establish and enforce frontend coding standards, design patterns, and best practices that the entire engineering team follows consistently.
- Work alongside UX designers to convert wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications into fully functional and visually accurate interface implementations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level developers through structured code reviews, collaborative debugging sessions, and guided skill development.
- Profile and optimize rendering performance by identifying bottlenecks in the UI pipeline, reducing JavaScript bundle sizes, and improving initial load metrics.
- Build and maintain a centralized component library and design system that ensures visual and behavioral consistency across every product surface.
- Develop thorough automated test suites including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to safeguard interface correctness and prevent regressions.
- Contribute to sprint ceremonies, technical design reviews, and architectural decision-making processes with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate third-party UI utilities and tools that improve developer productivity and enhance the end-user experience.
- Champion web accessibility initiatives to ensure all interfaces conform to WCAG guidelines and remain usable for people with diverse abilities.
Requirements

- Deep proficiency in at least one modern component-based frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js in a production environment.
- Proven track record of making foundational UI technical decisions and shaping the frontend architecture direction within a product-driven organization.
- Strong grasp of responsive design methodologies, CSS preprocessing, and modern build tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or comparable systems.
- Working knowledge of version control workflows using Git, including branching strategies, conflict resolution, and collaborative development practices.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience through work history.
- Demonstrated success in delivering production-quality, visually refined user interfaces under tight timelines in a collaborative team setting.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities with the capacity to explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders.
Nice to have

- Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries, styled components, or CSS modules as approaches for scoping and managing interface styles.
- Exposure to server-side rendering frameworks such as Next.js or Nuxt.js and an understanding of their respective advantages and limitations.
- Practical experience with design collaboration tools like Figma or Sketch and the ability to work constructively with design teams.
Skills & tools
- HTML5 and CSS3 with expertise in layout systems including flexbox, CSS grid, and modern responsive design techniques.
- JavaScript ES6 and later with a thorough understanding of asynchronous patterns, closures, prototypal inheritance, and module systems.
- React or a comparable component-based framework with demonstrated experience in managing application state and component lifecycles.
- Build and asset bundling tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Rollup used for optimizing and packaging production frontend code.
- Testing frameworks and utilities including Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress for validating interface behavior and reliability.
- Design system principles and component library management with an emphasis on reusability, maintainability, and cross-team consistency.
