We are looking for an operator to join our Indigo team and help us scale our physician-focused healthcare platform. You will take charge of critical processes as we grow from our current base to hundreds of customers. This role requires a systems thinker who thrives in complex, regulated environments and can translate strategic vision into executable workflows. You will own the design and refinement of operational systems that support our ambitious growth trajectory. Collaboration with clinical, engineering, product, and operations teams will be central to improving core workflows and user outcomes. The ideal candidate is a builder who uses data to drive process optimization and enhance both the user and patient experience. You will perform market research and competitive analysis to inform our expansion strategy. This is a long-term role for someone committed to a 30-year company vision.

What you'll do
- Design and refine operational systems that support our growth across the healthcare workflow.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives between clinical, engineering, product, and operations teams to streamline complex workflows.
- Utilize quantitative data to build, measure, and maintain processes that enhance the user and patient journey.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and guide strategic expansion efforts.
- Develop high-level systems solutions that also address granular workflow optimization for real-world execution.
- Partner with clinical stakeholders to ensure that medical workflows are efficient, compliant, and centered on patient safety.
- Translate business requirements into technical-friendly process documentation for engineering and operations teams.
- Own key performance indicators and define experiments to test improvements in operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement scalable solutions that support hundreds of customers.
- Collaborate with product managers to align operational capabilities with product roadmaps and feature launches.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure operational frameworks remain compliant and effective.
- Support the creation of scalable playbooks that standardize core processes for consistency and quality.
- Work closely with founders and leadership to prioritize initiatives that drive the highest impact on growth and profitability.
- Act as the operational subject matter expert for Indigo, providing clear communication and decision support to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record of building or scaling operational systems in healthcare or other highly regulated, complex environments.
- Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and clinicians to solve intricate workflow challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems, develop strategies, and execute solutions independently with minimal supervision.
- A builder mindset focused on prototyping, testing, and iterating on processes until optimal effectiveness is achieved.
- Strong commitment to the long-term vision of the company, with a strategic outlook extending 30 years into the future.
- Deep understanding of healthcare operations and the unique constraints of regulated environments.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects from conception through execution and optimization.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable process improvements.

Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area requiring on-site presence. The role demands immediate availability due to the fast growth trajectory of the company. Candidates must be prepared for a high level of ownership and responsibility over critical operational systems. Travel is not required for this position. The company is currently profitable and has achieved over $10MM in annual recurring revenue in under 14 months. Employment is contingent upon standard background checks and compliance with healthcare regulations. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Applicants must be able to start within a short timeframe given the urgency of scaling operations. This position is part of the Indigo team reporting directly to senior leadership.
