About the role
OpenArt is an AI-powered visual creation platform serving millions of users globally. This role focuses on building the technical infrastructure and product features required to scale our international presence. You will own the full user lifecycle, from acquisition and SEO to monetization, while working directly with our technical founders to drive rapid growth. You will architect systems that handle the complexity of multiple languages, currencies, and regional regulations without sacrificing performance or user experience. The work you do will directly determine whether our platform feels native to users in Tokyo, Berlin, or São Paulo. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing to turn high-level growth goals into concrete technical implementations. This is an opportunity to define the globalization strategy for a rapidly scaling AI product from the ground up.

What you'll do
- Develop the technical foundation for multi-language support, including routing, translation management, and locale-aware content systems.
- Build and iterate on localized landing pages, onboarding flows, and checkout experiences to improve conversion in international markets.
- Construct scalable systems for programmatic SEO, including metadata management, sitemap generation, and performance optimization for global traffic.
- Analyze funnel data to identify drop-off points in specific regions and run experiments to improve activation and retention.
- Optimize monetization by implementing localized pricing, currency displays, and regional payment methods.
- Create internal tools that enable marketing and growth teams to deploy localized content and campaigns efficiently.
- Implement robust internationalization (i18n) architectures that support future language expansion with minimal engineering overhead.
- Partner with design and product to ensure cultural relevance and visual consistency across all global markets.
- Instrument and monitor localization quality, tracking issues related to text expansion, date formats, and regional usability.
- Lead the integration of translation management platforms to streamline the workflow between engineering and localization teams.
- Optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals for users across different regions and network conditions.
- Define and track key globalization metrics such as conversion rate by locale, time to interactive, and support ticket volume.
- Conduct technical code reviews to ensure that globalization features maintain high standards of reliability and maintainability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders regarding the technical aspects of international growth.
Requirements
- Proficiency in frontend engineering using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Experience developing user-facing product features.
- Ability to manage A/B tests, analyze funnel metrics, and interpret user data to inform technical decisions.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, web performance, and conversion rate optimization.
- Ability to operate independently with high ownership and clear communication in a cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript is mandatory for implementing client-side i18n logic and dynamic imports.
- Experience with React Intl or similar i18n libraries is required for managing translations and formatting.
- You must be able to design URL structures and routing logic that correctly serve multiple languages and regions.
- You must have a strong grasp of SEO fundamentals specific to multilingual and multi-regional websites.
- You must be able to read and analyze funnel data to identify specific regions where users are dropping off.
- You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change rapidly.
- You must be able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and frequently.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this role.
- You must be located in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
