You own the daily coordination of children in executing the plan of the day in strict accordance with program policies and procedures. You own the responsibility to serve as an advocate for assigned youth and to monitor behaviors to maintain a safe and supportive environment for every child. You own the participation in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans tailored to each young person's needs. You own the supervision of assigned youth and the safe transportation of children to activities, appointments, and school without compromise on safety. What you'll do

Coordinate the daily schedule and activities of children in alignment with the program of the day and all organizational policies.

Participate in the creation and execution of Individual Service Plans to address the unique needs of each child in care.

Supervise assigned youth during all activities and ensure their safety while transporting them to school, appointments, and community activities.

Advocate for the well-being of each child by monitoring behaviors and intervening appropriately to maintain a supportive environment.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of each child's progress, incidents, and adherence to treatment plans.

Support the implementation of therapeutic strategies that promote skill-building, resilience, and emotional growth.

Assist in organizing structured recreational and educational activities that support healing and positive development.

Communicate regularly with team members regarding the status and needs of each child in your care.

Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures during residential and community-based activities.

Act as a positive role model who demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times.

Contribute to a culture of belonging by upholding Eliot's mission of empowerment, inclusion, and lasting change.

Support the transition planning process to help children move toward permanency and long-term stability.

Engage in ongoing learning and training to enhance your ability to support complex needs effectively.

Collaborate with external partners as needed to align residential services with community resources and goals.

Requirements

Must possess a High School diploma or equivalency certificate as proof of educational attainment.

Must hold a valid Massachusetts driver's license demonstrating the ability to operate a vehicle safely and reliably.

Must have at least one year of related experience working with the population served in a residential or therapeutic setting.

Must be able to work any of the scheduled per diem shifts which include 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am without exception.

Must reliably provide own transportation to all work locations and child transportation assignments across Middleborough.

Must pass a background check and reference verification as part of the pre-employment process.

Must meet all state and federal requirements for employment in child welfare and residential services.

Must comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards governing residential care.

Must demonstrate physical ability to supervise children, including lifting, carrying, and active engagement during activities.

Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times regarding children and their families.

Must commit to an inclusive workplace by respecting diversity among colleagues, children, and families served.

Must be available to work on a per diem basis with consistent scheduling reliability to ensure continuity of care.

Must successfully complete any required training or certifications prior to working directly with children.

Must adhere to all safety and emergency protocols to protect the well-being of children at all times.

Practical notes

Hours: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am

Travel: Transportation to Middleborough and between locations required
