Eliot is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) division. Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) provides clinically focused, evidence-based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Services are person-centered and are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in either residential or community-based settings. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting adults with mental illness by setting and working toward individualized nutritional goals. They will understand the connection between diet and mental well-being and be able to provide practical, supportive guidance as part of a holistic care team.

What you'll do

• Deliver individualized nutrition education and consultation to adults with mental illness, integrating behavioral health principles.
• Assess current eating patterns, health status, and personal goals to develop realistic, client-driven nutrition and activity plans.
• Translate complex nutrition science into accessible, practical guidance that aligns with client routines, abilities, and cultural context.
• Collaborate closely with ACCS clinicians to coordinate interventions, monitor progress, and adjust plans based on evolving needs.
• Perform comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments, ensuring accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in clinical records.
• Design and implement creative, evidence-based nutrition interventions tailored to the realities of living with mental illness.
• Support care coordination across team members to promote consistency in health goals and intervention strategies.
• Guide clients in setting measurable nutrition and activity goals, emphasizing autonomy, choice, and incremental progress.
• Maintain current knowledge of dietetics practice standards, mental health research, and community resources relevant to client care.
• Serve as a resource for colleagues on nutrition topics, contributing to team learning and program improvement.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possess current registration or licensure to practice dietetics in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license to support community-based service delivery.
• Demonstrate prior experience working with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness.
• Show familiarity with the impact of nutrition on mental health and behavioral health treatment approaches.
• Commit to working a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aligning with established team hours.
• Meet Eliot's standards for professional practice, including cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and ethical decision-making.
• Successfully complete any required background checks and documentation as part of the hiring process.

Nice to have

• Preferred experience designing nutrition interventions within mental health or behavioral health settings.
• Additional training or continuing education in areas such as eating disorders, diabetes management, or integrated care models.
• Familiarity with community-based resources and referral pathways that support holistic health and wellness.

Practical notes

• This is a full-time position with standard Monday through Friday hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• The role is based in Lexington and requires a valid Massachusetts driver's license due to the community-based nature of the work.
• Compensation is set at $57,680 USD annually for this benefit-eligible position.
