Recovery Coach - CBHC Urgent Care

Eliot invites you to join a dedicated pathway for adults navigating behavioral health challenges. In this Recovery Coach role, you will guide clients from their first point of contact through structured plans that lead to stable recovery. You will design and deliver in-home support during behavioral health crises, focusing particularly on addiction-related needs. Every day, you will own the full journey with each adult client, shaping individualized strategies that honor culture, identity, and lived experience. You will act as a consistent presence, helping individuals rebuild their lives while reinforcing their inherent strengths. This role requires a deep commitment to recovery principles and the ability to work effectively within a clinical team environment. You will be a key partner in facilitating access to care and ensuring that support remains person-centered and goal-oriented. The position emphasizes practical guidance and advocacy to help clients achieve sustainable change.

Key facts

This position is based in Danvers and operates as a full-time engagement from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The compensation range is $21.63 to $25.48 USD per hour. Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are eligible for a six percent salary increase upon qualification.

What you'll do

You will chart initial contacts and verify urgent needs to ensure timely response and appropriate care. You will design culturally competent goals with clients to guide realistic and attainable recovery steps. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align treatment plans and available resources. You will support in-home stabilization during behavioral health episodes, with a strong focus on addiction treatment and related services. You will track symptom changes and the outcomes of interventions to support continuous evaluation and improvement. You will partner with community services to strengthen ongoing support networks around each client. You will prepare clear client perspectives for team reviews and decision points. You will walk through each step of the journey to ensure transitions remain safe, structured, and consistent with recovery goals. You will utilize proactive outreach to engage clients who may be hesitant to seek formal services. You will document all interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. You will facilitate connections to housing, employment, and peer support resources as part of the recovery process. You will respond to crisis situations with calm and professionalism, de-escalating tension and promoting safety. You will collaborate with clinical supervisors to refine approaches based on client feedback and outcomes. You will maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in every interaction.

Requirements

You must hold a high school diploma or equivalent proof of education. You must bring lived experience and sustained recovery to the work. You must have experience serving adults facing mental illness or substance abuse. You must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license for travel. You must be certified as a Recovery Coach or actively pursuing that credential. You must be able to pass a background check and relevant reference verification. You must comply with all organizational policies, including those related to confidentiality and professional conduct. You must demonstrate physical ability to perform in-home visits and travel as required. You must commit to ongoing learning and adherence to clinical best practices. You must be available for the full duration of the scheduled workweek without exception.

Practical notes

This is a full-time position with set working hours from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel is required between client locations within the Danvers area and surrounding regions as needed. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
