About the role
At ElevenLabs, we are redefining how people and machines interact through human-like AI voice. We are looking for an experienced General Manager for Germany to own and execute the country strategy, ensuring alignment with ElevenLabs global priorities across sales, customer delivery, and team building. You will translate the company vision into a localized roadmap, define the go-to-market approach for the B2B segment, and lead the founding country team to deliver measurable results. This role is in-country and remote-first, with the flexibility to work from Germany and travel to client sites as needed.
What you'll do
- Architect and execute the country strategy for Germany, translating ElevenLabs global objectives into a clear sales and delivery plan with ambitious, measurable targets.
- Build and lead the sales and implementation founding team in Germany, overseeing hiring, development, coaching, and performance to ensure the team reflects ElevenLabs standards of excellence.
- Design an optimal sales pipeline tailored to B2B enterprises, focusing on high-value opportunities and complex sales cycles.
- Lead interactions with the top 30 strategic accounts in the German market, managing relationships, expectations, and outcomes across technical and commercial dimensions.
- Define event priorities and investment areas for brand awareness in Germany, balancing demand generation with thought-leadership initiatives.
- Represent ElevenLabs at industry events and media opportunities, serving as the public face of the brand and reinforcing our position as an AI audio innovator.
- Partner with the global business development team to uncover and activate collaboration and sales opportunities, aligning local initiatives with cross-border pipelines.
- Ideate, own, and drive big bets in Germany, taking full ownership of high-impact projects and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on time and to quality.
- Ensure all activities, customer engagements, and deliverables meet the quality standards expected of ElevenLabs AI solutions and voice technology.
- Operate as a hands-on strategic leader, balancing rapid experimentation with disciplined execution, and using data to drive decisions and demonstrate impact.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience leading teams and highly complex projects from concept to delivery, with a track record of managing end-to-end ownership.
- Background in consulting and sales, with demonstrable success managing enterprise-level engagements and navigating long sales cycles.
- Deep expertise in deploying technical products and/or solutions to enterprises, ideally within regulated environments and with AI or voice technology familiarity.
- Owner mentality: a hands-on self-starter who is keen to get involved in details, produces results, and takes responsibility for outcomes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at C-level and operational stakeholders both locally and globally.
- A hands-on leader who thinks outside the box, challenges assumptions, and drives pragmatic innovation while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Proven ability to build, scale, and mentor high-performing teams across functions and time zones, fostering collaboration in a remote-first environment.
- Native speaker of German with advanced professional fluency in English to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience operating within the AI, voice technology, or enterprise software ecosystems, and understanding of the technical underpinnings of voice AI.
- Track record of managing strategic partnerships and channel ecosystems, including partner enablement and joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Background in media or public speaking, with examples of thought leadership and brand representation in your field.
Practical notes
This is an in-country role based in Germany with remote-first flexibility. The role requires travel to be on-site with clients as needed. You will have access to an annual discretionary stipend for social travel to meet colleagues, and the company hosts an annual all-hands offsite in a new location to strengthen collaboration and culture.
