What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers in the development and enhancement of the Agent Framework, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define the roadmap and prioritize features that align with business goals and customer needs.
• Design and implement architectural solutions that scale effectively and can handle large volumes of data with minimal latency.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other teams, including frontend, backend, and DevOps, to ensure integration of the Agent Framework with other components of the Elastic Stack.
• Analyze performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements in the Agent Framework.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into the product development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure effective team collaboration and project management.
• Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications and user guides to support internal teams and end-users.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues that arise during development or in production environments.
• Advocate for best practices in software development, including testing, deployment, and monitoring, to enhance the reliability and performance of the Agent Framework.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role, ideally with 5+ years in software engineering and 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or Python, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies, particularly in building scalable applications.
• Familiarity with observability and security concepts, including logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on iterative development and continuous delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Beats, is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline the software delivery process.
• Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in programming languages: Go, Java, Python
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Understanding of observability tools and frameworks
