Sr. HR Manager, Headquarters
EōS Fitness seeks a Sr. HR Manager based in San Diego, California, to serve a decentralized, remote-first, multi-state workforce. This position operates within a fast-paced environment where policies transform into daily practice and HR guidance directly influences team cohesion. The role reports to the Vice President of HR (Talent) Strategy. Compensation for this position ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 USD annually.
Purpose and Scope
As the first Sr. HR Manager in this capacity, you will shape the role's trajectory and build alignment between the headquarters team and the field experience over time. You will translate the Core Purpose of creating loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners into tangible employee experiences. Key Responsibilities
You will serve as the primary HR partner for the headquarters team, guiding the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding. This includes handling employee relations with care and navigating change while building trust with leaders and staff. You will partner with HQ leaders to support team effectiveness, manage organizational changes, and address day-to-day people needs.
You will advise managers on core HR topics such as coaching, performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation, recognition, and team planning. You will support new hire integration to ensure a strong start for every headquarters team member. You will collaborate with internal recruiters and hiring leaders to design interviews and evaluate candidates, helping to deliver an efficient and thoughtful hiring experience.
You will review workflows by checking documents, communications, and processes for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. You will then coordinate the launch of solutions, training, and follow-up efforts so that new practices take hold within the team. You will partner with platforms, vendors, and cross-functional groups to keep programs coherent across the employee experience.
You will guide retention efforts by identifying engagement patterns, surfacing risks, and recommending practical actions. You will champion compliance by interpreting rules, updating guidance, and supporting responsible decision-making. You will facilitate conversations by mediating discussions, clarifying expectations, and helping resolve workplace issues. Finally, you will maintain readiness by organizing playbooks, templates, and reference kits that simplify future work.
Requirements
Candidates must bring three to five years of HR generalist experience within a remote environment. You must demonstrate experience handling employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding with sound judgment. You must partner with leaders across multiple states while maintaining consistency and care. You must interpret policies and regulations and explain them clearly to diverse audiences.
Nice to have experience in fitness, wellness, or high-growth consumer brands. Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and common HR platforms is expected.

What you'll do
EōS Fitness is an anchor store at Plaza West Covina, a large regional shopping mall in West Covina, California. The mall is owned by Starwood Capital Group. It is now managed by Pacific Retail Capital Partners. The site was previously acquired by Westfield America, Inc. in 1998. At that time, the center was renamed Westfield Shoppingtown West Covina. The shopping center dropped the Shoppingtown name in June 2005. In October 2013, Westfield Group sold the mall to Starwood Capital Group. During that 2013 transaction, Westfield retained a 10% equity stake in the property. The mall's anchor stores include Macy's, JCPenney, Nordstrom Rack, Best Buy, and EōS Fitness. The location also contains two vacant spaces. These spaces were last occupied by Sears and Forever
