About the role
Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management Associate to join our dynamic team in Lagos. Key facts
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive threat intelligence analysis to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities that could impact Bamboohr's operations and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the security posture of existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain a vulnerability management program that includes regular scanning, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities across the organization.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents, providing timely reports and recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Create and maintain documentation related to threat intelligence and vulnerability management processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in incident response activities, assisting in the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques to enhance the organization's security measures.
- Provide training and awareness programs for staff to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Work with third-party vendors to assess their security practices and ensure compliance with Bamboohr's security requirements.
- Assist in the development of security policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize security tools and technologies to automate and streamline vulnerability management processes.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on the status of threat intelligence and vulnerability management efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with incident response processes and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

- Experience in the financial technology sector or a related industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
