What you'll do

• Lead and manage electrical projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project specifications and requirements are met.
• Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including clients and upper management, to keep them informed of progress and challenges.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and support to project team members to enhance their performance and professional development.
• Implement and uphold safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, as well as construction practices and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to project management.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management in a project context.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems or sustainable building practices.
• Previous experience in a leadership role, mentoring junior staff or leading project teams.
