Applied Engineer
Job description
About the role
You architect and ship the core data pipelines that power a modern AI-native ERP used by finance teams at scale. You take ownership of end to end delivery on named customer projects, guiding the work from discovery through deployment and verification. You build and maintain idempotent, resumable, and auditable migration and integration workflows using Temporal to compress delivery timelines. You model and load complex customer accounting data into Postgres, ensuring correctness by reconciling against legacy systems. You systematically eliminate recurring one offs by building internal tooling that turns ad hoc fixes into permanent product features. You close the loop between customer feedback and the codebase, feeding patterns back into the core product and handing off durable solutions. You thrive in a high trust, high velocity environment where shipping fast and shipping right are equally important.

- Reconcile live customer data against existing systems to ensure consistency, resolving discrepancies with rigorous validation.
- Develop internal tooling that converts one off fixes into reusable workflows, eliminating manual intervention over time.
- Synthesize observed patterns from production and translate them into product features, enabling permanent capabilities for the platform.
- Drive initiatives that shorten the cycle from customer request to shipped functionality without sacrificing reliability or correctness.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering partners to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete, testable delivery outcomes.
