What you'll do

• Architect and deploy new infrastructure components using Terraform to support scalable financial systems.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to improve the stability of existing production systems and eliminate single points of failure.
• Manage and maintain our primary infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency across development and production environments.
• Deploy and enhance the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline to accelerate safe releases.
• Create monitoring and insights pipelines for systems using OpenTelemetry to provide actionable business intelligence.
• Strengthen security measures and improve the developer experience through automation and streamlined workflows.
• Define and implement runbooks and operational procedures to ensure rapid response during critical incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure solutions that meet evolving product requirements.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization to control costs while maintaining high performance and availability.
• Lead infrastructure reviews and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices for reliability, observability, and infrastructure management.
• Partner with data teams to build pipelines that transform operational metrics into strategic insights.
• Drive the adoption of infrastructure standards across the engineering organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate tools that enhance the resilience of the financial stack.

Requirements

• Ability to work an on-call schedule and respond to incidents at any time.
• At least 5 years of experience in roles involving system scalability and improvements in complex environments.
• At least 3 years of experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code in production settings.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals in Python, including asynchronous programming and dependency management.
• Experience with observability tools, specifically OpenTelemetry, for tracing, metrics, and logging.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot high-severity production issues with minimal guidance.
• Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD platforms, and container orchestration is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience on a project supporting 1 million users or a similar scale of traffic and data.
• Practical experience in backend development and system design for distributed applications.
• An active GitHub profile showcasing personal projects or contributions to open source.
• Prior work in fintech, ERP, or financial data platforms is valued.
• Experience with automated security scanning and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of database optimization and query performance tuning at scale.
