About the role
The owns the translation of complex accounting workflows into clear, actionable product solutions that directly address the needs of chief financial officers and controllers. You will lead discovery calls to uncover critical pain points in closing processes, enterprise resource planning limitations, and integration requirements specific to each prospect. This role requires you to run tailored product demonstrations that highlight how DualEntry's AI-native ERP can handle specific data sets, workflows, and success criteria with precision. You will take ownership of technical objections surrounding integrations, data migration, security protocols, and detailed reporting requirements. A core part of this position involves building proof-of-concept and demonstration environments that reflect the realities of different industries and operational models. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure the product roadmap is shaped by real customer feedback and emerging use cases. Success in this role demands a relentless work ethic and a high degree of agency within fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities shift quickly. You are expected to develop a deep, operational understanding of accounting operations, including the close process, journal entries, approvals, reconciliations, multi-entity structures, reporting, and internal controls.

What you'll do
Lead discovery calls with finance leaders to identify specific challenges in month-end closing, enterprise resource planning constraints, and integration requirements.
Translate complex accounting workflows into clear product narratives that resonate with chief financial officers and controllers across diverse industries.
Run tailored product demonstrations that address unique prospect data, operational workflows, and defined success metrics.
Own technical objections regarding integrations, data migration strategies, security frameworks, and detailed reporting capabilities.
Construct proof-of-concept and demonstration environments that accurately simulate different industry scenarios and operational models.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize the roadmap based on qualitative and quantitative customer feedback.
Map end-to-end accounting operations, including the close process, journal entries, approvals, reconciliations, multi-entity structures, reporting, and internal controls.
Develop deep expertise in at least one demanding accounting area, such as revenue recognition or foreign exchange complexities, to address sophisticated prospect inquiries.
Engage in technical discussions regarding enterprise resource planning architecture, application programming interfaces, data imports and migrations, security, and system performance trade-offs.
Communicate effectively with both finance leaders and engineering teams to create actionable playbooks and scalable sales methodologies for the accounting solutions practice.
Requirements
You must have an exceptional foundation in accounting, having worked in public accounting or in-house finance for a technology or high-growth company.
You need to understand accounting operations completely, covering the close process, journal entries, approvals, reconciliations, multi-entity structures, reporting, and internal controls.
You must possess depth in one demanding accounting area, such as revenue recognition or foreign exchange complexities, to provide authoritative guidance.
You should have substantial experience within the chief financial officer systems stack, mapping workflows across enterprise resource planning and billing systems.
Comfort with technical discussions regarding integrations, application programming interfaces, data imports and migrations, security, and architecture trade-offs is required for this position.
You must communicate clearly with finance leaders and engineers while developing actionable playbooks and scalable sales methodologies.
The role requires three to five years of relevant experience in this specialized consulting capacity within high-growth or technology environments.
You must be able to thrive in an office-based setting in New York City while occasionally traveling for client engagements that may require extended stays.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements, as the company will provide sponsorship for those who qualify.
Nice to have
Experience with ASC 606 and its application in complex revenue recognition scenarios is advantageous for certain engagements.
Prior performance in high-visibility public speaking or performance settings is valued for roles requiring executive presence.
Familiarity with AI-native enterprise resource planning platforms and their practical implementation in finance operations is preferred.
Experience building and maintaining integrations between billing systems and enterprise resource planning platforms is beneficial.
A track record of mentoring junior consultants or contributing to the development of sales playbooks is seen as a positive indicator.

This role operates primarily in an office setting in New York City.
Travel may be necessary for client engagements.
