Key facts

What you'll do

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
• Support the monthly reconciliation of bank statements and financial accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
• Collaborate with team members to process invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Help in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Participate in budgeting processes by gathering data and assisting in the analysis of financial trends and forecasts.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Engage in data entry tasks, ensuring that all financial information is accurately recorded in the accounting software.
• Assist in the preparation for audits by organizing financial documents and providing necessary information to auditors.
• Communicate with clients and vendors regarding financial inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss financial strategies and contribute ideas for improving financial performance.
• Learn to utilize various financial software tools and systems to enhance productivity and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Gain exposure to various aspects of financial management, including payroll processing and tax preparation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or work experience in finance or bookkeeping is a plus.
