What you'll do

Coordinate maintenance schedules for six world-class golf courses and ancillary facilities to ensure peak seasonal readiness.

Operate and inspect a variety of mechanical equipment used for groundskeeping, irrigation, and course conditioning tasks.

Perform detailed course inspections to identify areas requiring attention regarding turf health, surface quality, and environmental compliance.

Implement preventative maintenance strategies for resort infrastructure, including tennis courts and recreational amenities.

Monitor inventory levels for supplies, equipment, and operational resources to support uninterrupted resort functions.

Execute precise applications of treatments and materials following strict environmental and safety guidelines.

Document daily activities, observations, and maintenance results to support team communication and operational reporting.

Collaborate with culinary and events teams to prepare and maintain outdoor spaces for dining and special gatherings.

Assist with the setup and breakdown of resort facilities to accommodate guest activities and programs.

Support the preservation of natural features and wildlife habitats inherent to the dune ecosystem.

Conduct thorough walkthroughs of property areas to identify potential hazards or service opportunities.

Provide reliable on-call availability to address emergent issues that arise during resort operations.

Transport tools and equipment between work sites efficiently and safely across the expansive property.

Adhere to all resort policies, including those related to safety, environmental stewardship, and guest interaction.

Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for this position.

You must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record acceptable to the employer.

You must be authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation proving such eligibility.

You must pass a background check and a drug screening as part of the pre-employment process.

You must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

You must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds regularly during your shift.

You must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.

You must be able to work a consistent schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Nice to have

Experience with golf course maintenance or groundskeeping in a similar resort or commercial environment.

Familiarity with mechanical equipment used in landscaping, grounds, or facility maintenance.

Basic understanding of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and environmental safety practices.

Previous customer service or hospitality experience in a recreational or resort setting.

Ability to operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and small utility vehicles safely and efficiently.

Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and environmental regulations relevant to the Wisconsin wilderness area.

This is a seasonal, full-time position with fluctuating hours based on resort demand and operational requirements.

Travel is not required for this role; all work is performed at the Nekoosa, Wisconsin location.
