About the role
You will own the end to end execution of Doximity's external financial reporting process ensuring timely and accurate SEC filings. You will lead the technical accounting analysis required for complex judgmental areas including revenue recognition and stock based compensation. You will prepare and review detailed technical accounting memos that communicate decisions to auditors and executive stakeholders. You will partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations and Internal Audit to support strategic financial initiatives. You will manage the internal control environment related to financial reporting and drive continuous improvements in policies and procedures. You will leverage emerging automation and AI tools to increase the efficiency and reliability of financial processes. You will act as a key point of contact for external auditors and the audit committee on all reporting matters.

What you'll do
Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support the full cycle of SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy statements, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Manage quarter end reporting activities, auditor PBC requests, and auditor reviews to meet strict deadlines and deliver high quality outputs.
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accounting analyses, and reconciliations specifically related to stock based compensation transactions.
Conduct and document technical accounting research under US GAAP, producing clear, concise, and well structured memos for complex judgmental areas.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards and assess the potential impacts on the company's financial statements and disclosures.
Oversee the equity accounting processes including stock compensation, ensuring proper application of ASC 718 and related policies.
Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial reporting, technical accounting, and stock compensation processes using AI and other automation tools.
Monitor and refine internal controls related to financial reporting and equity accounting to ensure adequacy and effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, and external auditors to align on technical positions and disclosures.
Utilize systems such as NetSuite, E*TRADE Equity Edge Online, and Clearwater to support accurate and efficient financial close activities.
Support process improvements and operational excellence across the reporting function through thoughtful analysis and proactive problem solving.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and possess a CPA certification.
Bring 6 8 years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience within the technology industry and or public accounting firm.
Demonstrate prior experience accounting for stock based compensation under ASC 718 in a publicly traded company.
Show experience working with the E*TRADE Equity Edge Online platform for equity management activities.
Exhibit strong analytical and written communication skills to balance recurring deadlines and longer term technical projects.
Be a proactive professional with integrity and accountability while functioning effectively as a team player.
Be proficient in Excel and Google Workspace for modeling, analysis, and reporting tasks.
Have familiarity with NetSuite, E*TRADE Equity Edge Online, and Clearwater as advantageous capabilities for the role.
Possess experience with automation or AI tools such as Claude, Alteryx, Domo, or Google Apps Script as a plus.
Nice to have
Preferred experience with AI and automation tools relevant to financial reporting and process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high growth technology company.
Experience contributing to process documentation and internal control design related to financial reporting.

This role requires availability in San Francisco, CA or remote within the United States.
Compensation details are provided as a range to reflect candidate qualifications and internal equity considerations.
The anticipated total compensation range is $154,400 to $206,667, subject to variation based on role, location, and candidate profile.
This position involves collaboration with cross functional partners including accounting, finance, legal, investor relations, tax, and internal audit.
You will be expected to manage quarter end reporting cycles, respond to auditor inquiries, and support timely SEC filing deadlines.
Experience with stock based compensation under ASC 718 and platforms such as E*TRADE Equity Edge Online is required for technical adequacy.
Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace is essential for day to day responsibilities in this role.
Use of automation and AI tools is encouraged to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness in financial reporting processes.
The role reports directly to the VP, Accounting and participates in strategic conversations with the CFO, Head of Investor Relations, and Chief Accounting Officer.
