About the role

You own the execution of picking and packing customer orders with precision and speed in a dynamic local fulfillment environment. You are responsible for managing inventory levels and spoilage to ensure product freshness and availability for Dashers. You will maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse that supports efficient order flow. You delight customers by ensuring substitutions are approved and handled correctly. You reliably communicate your availability and commit to completing scheduled shifts as expected. You will complete required onboarding and initial training within the first days of employment. You actively contribute to performance expectations and uphold quality standards during every shift.

What you'll do

Pick and pack orders accurately from the warehouse shelves for timely handoff to Dashers.

Manage inventory receipts and track product quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

Monitor shelf life and manage spoilage by rotating products and removing expired items promptly.

Clean and organize the warehouse floor to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Ensure substitutions are approved by the customer before finalizing order changes.

Support operational needs by adapting to shifting priorities during peak demand periods.

Collaborate with site leadership and team members to uphold quality and process standards.

Utilize the scheduling app to pick up open shifts and meet minimum availability requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall goals of DashMart operations.

Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by demonstrating reliability and strong communication.

Requirements

You must be reliable and communicate clearly when picking up shifts.

You are expected to work at least one shift every four weeks for a minimum of four hours each shift.

You will complete one shift of DashMart onboarding training upon starting.

You must complete one 4-hour on-the-job training shift within 14 days of starting.

You should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

You are willing to complete a Food Handler's Certification after hire.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in refrigerated areas as needed.

Reliability and communication are essential to meet performance expectations.

Practical notes

Shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Part-Time.

You will start with DashMart onboarding and initial training (one shift) and complete one 4-hour on-the-job training shift (must be completed within 14 days) to set you up for success, then you can begin choosing shifts based on business needs and your schedule.

Variable schedule roles allow you to largely pick up open shifts through our scheduling app, with schedules posted weekly and additional shifts available through swaps or demand peaks.

You are expected to work at least one shift every four weeks for a minimum of four hours each shift.

Variable Schedule Operations Associates will be scheduled for one shift a month to help meet this requirement.

This shift also serves as a key time to review process changes and company-provided tools.

It is also an opportunity to stay connected with Site Leadership, including your supervisor.

Market competitive pay includes a $2 per hour premium for shifts worked between 10pm and 6am.

AM, PM, and overnight shift options are available.

Opportunity for pay increases twice a year based on performance.
