What you'll do
You will formulate the vision and success metrics for the Customer Support and Integrity Security function, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise risk management standards. You will lead the technical direction and execution of the security roadmap for support operations, designing and operationalizing controls that protect support agents, workflows, and sensitive data. You will partner with Engineering and Product teams to integrate security into support tooling from the ground up, embedding security practices into the development lifecycle. A core focus will be designing and implementing security measures for internal teams and external support populations, including call centers and business process outsourcers, to manage third-party risk effectively. You will establish clear metrics to track program performance and demonstrate tangible risk reduction to leadership and stakeholders. You will conduct security testing and validation of support systems, processes, and personnel to identify gaps and define actionable remediation plans that reduce exposure. You will drive the adoption of secure practices and ensure alignment across multiple organizational teams, fostering a culture of security awareness and accountability. You will analyze code, architectural diagrams, and configurations to uncover security weaknesses within customer support platforms and related infrastructure. You will manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and integrate with identity and access management platforms to enforce least-privilege access controls. You will oversee security assessments for customer support tools, ensuring that implementations meet regulatory and compliance requirements for data protection.
Requirements
You bring 8 or more years of experience as a security engineer within enterprise or infrastructure security disciplines, with a documented history of designing and implementing security solutions for large support and sales workforces. You have direct experience interacting with third-party vendors and managing security controls for outsourced support environments. You can communicate effectively about security engineering, system architecture, scalability, and reliability tradeoffs, making complex topics understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You operate with a customer-first mentality and own complex, global workflows, ensuring that security does not hinder business operations but enables it securely. Your technical expertise spans infrastructure and security areas operating in large production environments, providing you with the insight needed to secure critical systems. You analyze code, architectural diagrams, and configurations to uncover security weaknesses before they can be exploited by adversaries. You are proficient in scripting with Python and working with Java or Golang in production contexts, leveraging these skills to automate security tasks and improve resilience. You manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and integrate with identity and access management platforms to maintain robust security postures. You have a proven track record of implementing security programs that scale globally while adhering to strict compliance frameworks and industry best practices.
Nice to have
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services enhances your ability to secure global support environments, providing deeper insight into cloud-native security controls. Familiarity with Google Workspace products, particularly Chrome Enterprise Premium, is highly relevant to this role due to its widespread use in support operations.
