About the role
You will manage advertising strategy for a portfolio of retail accounts within the New Verticals business, which includes grocery, alcohol, and convenience sectors. This role requires you to act as a strategic partner, guiding clients through the complexities of modern advertising to achieve their business objectives. You own the full sales cycle, from initial discovery through to contract negotiation and onboarding, ensuring seamless execution against client goals. Collaboration is central to this position, as you will work hand-in-hand with product and marketing teams to refine solutions that address real-world advertiser challenges. Your insights will directly influence the future direction of our advertising products and messaging in the market. You will be responsible for driving product adoption and revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts. This position demands a high level of ownership and initiative to build long-term relationships that drive sustainable value for both the client and DoorDash.

What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end advertising sales conversations with enterprise-level retail partners, articulating value and differentiating DoorDash's offerings.
- Build and execute quarterly and annual sales plans that are data-backed, actionable, and aligned with client growth priorities.
- Influence the product roadmap by synthesizing direct feedback from advertisers and translating it into clear product and marketing requirements.
- Create pitch materials and standardized sales processes that enable efficient scaling of the advertising business across new verticals.
- Manage a multi-stage sales pipeline to forecast accurately and drive both immediate wins and sustained mid-term growth opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and launch targeted campaigns that meet the specific needs of grocery, alcohol, and convenience sectors.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analyses to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic account planning.
- Develop and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.
- Utilize advanced consultative selling techniques to uncover latent needs and present tailored solutions that drive decision-making.
- Mentor junior sales team members by sharing best practices and success stories from your enterprise engagements.
- Track and report on key performance indicators to ensure campaigns are delivering measurable results and inform future strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert, maintaining deep knowledge of digital advertising trends and retail industry dynamics.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure agreements that support complex enterprise deals.
- Drive the adoption of new advertising features and tools that enhance the client experience and improve campaign performance.
- Establish a rhythm of proactive communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in digital media sales or marketing, demonstrating a consistent track record of success in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to use data and insights to build consultative recommendations that solve complex client problems.
- Understanding of digital advertising measurement, including attribution models, funnel metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Experience working in the e-commerce sector, with a deep appreciation for the unique dynamics of online retail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of a large organization.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
- A history of exceeding sales quotas and delivering results in a competitive B2B sales landscape.
- Willingness to travel to meet key clients and attend industry events as required to strengthen relationships.

Compensation includes base salary plus sales commission.
