What you'll do
- Organize and manage intake documentation for all electrical agreements, performing rigorous checks to confirm that project scopes are accurate and aligned before any construction begins.
- Establish and maintain detailed build checklists to ensure strict contract compliance, verifying that all drawings, specifications, and submittals adhere precisely to project requirements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor responses, identifying gaps and discrepancies while guiding necessary revisions to safeguard pricing accuracy and protect timeline integrity.
- Compile and issue revised contract packages to trades and partners, ensuring that every change is meticulously documented, formally approved, and clearly communicated prior to on‑site implementation.
- Guide partner teams through standardized handover protocols, supporting warranty terms and ensuring operational understanding is achieved for long‑term facility performance.
- Manage travel schedules to project sites and coordinate directly with external contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople in person and remotely.
- Address stakeholder concerns professionally, representing DIALOG's commitment to respectful and constructive communication at all times.
- Identify misalignments between actual work and contract terms promptly, resolving them through timely, clear discussions with all stakeholders.
- Apply a firm grasp of technical electrical construction principles to interpret requirements, validate responses, and confirm field execution.
- Adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining positive relationships across all project levels, ensuring continuity and clarity in contract administration.
- Support compliance with municipal expectations and field coordination for electrical systems by serving as the central point for documentation and queries.
- Uphold DIALOG's standards for documentation, traceability, and accountability throughout the lifecycle of each electrical contract.
Requirements
- Must bring a minimum of three years of proven experience in contract administration, specifically within the electrical construction sector.
- Must demonstrate success managing projects in Calgary, including a thorough understanding of municipal expectations and field coordination for electrical systems.
- Must be technically proficient in electrical methods, comfortable working on project sites, and skilled at conveying expectations to a wide array of collaborators.
- Must be able to handle disagreement constructively, communicating effectively when responses trigger emotional reactions or contractual concerns.
- Must communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions with contractors, subcontractors, tradespeople, and internal team members.
- Must reliably follow detailed procedures and checklists to ensure contract compliance and documentation integrity.
- Must be organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple project requirements simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.
- Must hold the legal right to work in Canada and be available for full-time employment in Calgary, Alberta.
