What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive electrical and power systems analysis for generation, transmission, and distribution facilities in support of client objectives.
Develop detailed relay protection and coordination studies to ensure selective, reliable, and safe operation of electrical networks.
Perform arc flash hazard assessments and incident energy analysis to inform safe working conditions and compliance requirements.
Design and evaluate power distribution architectures, including switchgear, transformers, and protective devices, for new and retrofit applications.
Support the development and integration of microgrid solutions that enhance energy resilience and operational continuity for critical loads.
Lead the preparation of design specifications, calculation reports, and technical documentation for client review and regulatory submission.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to align electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, and control systems requirements.
Apply emerging digital tools and modeling techniques to evaluate system performance, optimize configurations, and reduce lifecycle costs.
Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and client operational protocols.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities to enhance project delivery and team capability.
Support business development activities by providing technical responses, concept designs, and feasibility assessments as required.
Mentor and develop staff at various experience levels, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and technical excellence.
Participate in internal reviews, quality checks, and knowledge transfer sessions to maintain consistency and reliability of deliverables.
Contribute to the growth of Stanley's technical capabilities in power generation, facility infrastructure, and decentralized energy systems.
Requirements
Demonstrate a strong background in power generation, relay settings, plant facilities design, and microgrid clients through relevant project experience.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Possess a professional engineering (PE) license in electrical engineering or be actively pursuing licensure in a qualifying jurisdiction.
Bring a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in electrical engineering design and consulting.
Show proven ability to lead and deliver projects for power generation facilities, electrical distribution systems, and microgrid applications.
Exhibit thorough knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices relevant to generation, transmission, and industrial facilities.
Display strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills in complex and multidisciplinary environments.
