We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for multiple office locations. These locations include Austin, TX; Denver, CO (Centennial); Minneapolis, MN; Muscatine, IA; and Remote. This position is Hybrid in nature. The Requisition ID for this role is 11053. Stanley Consultants, Inc. seeks a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will work on a diverse portfolio of energy projects. The ideal candidate brings experience in industrial, water/wastewater, federal, and power generation sectors. Renewable system design is a growing component of our work and offers significant professional development. Your responsibilities will include managing other discipline engineers and performing complex electrical work. You will conduct electrical system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies. The role involves engineering microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems. This includes performing studies and system modeling. You will handle electrical design in accordance with the NEC. This involves providing power to medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, mechanical building systems, and lighting systems. The work also covers campus distribution and building low-voltage systems. It may include working with European voltage systems and standards. Stanley Consultants is engaged in several large projects across the USA and overseas. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of challenging projects.
Key Accountabilities
You will drive intake activities to capture project needs and translate them into precise electrical system requirements. The role involves building analysis models for load flow, coordination, and arc flash across microgrid, storage, and photovoltaic platforms. You will review design outputs against NEC and European voltage standards to ensure code compliance and system safety. The position requires shipping solutions for medium- and low-voltage distribution, mechanical systems, and campus energy infrastructure. You will partner with other disciplines to align distributed generation and battery strategies with federal and industrial objectives. This includes guiding photovoltaic system modeling and studies that support renewable integration and long-term resilience. You will coordinate complex site conditions into practical electrical layouts for challenging domestic and overseas projects. A key part of the role is championing quality checks that prevent issues before they reach construction teams and clients.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. You must bring three years of hands-on experience with power systems analysis and design. Demonstrated skill in software tools used for modeling generation, storage, and distribution equipment is required. A strong understanding of load flow, coordination, and arc flash studies for modern energy projects is essential. You must be able to interpret NEC requirements and apply them to real-world installations. Experience with photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage configurations is necessary. Effective communication skills are required to work with teams in Europe and North America.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microgrid architectures and distributed generation integration is preferred.
