About the role
You will own the full operational performance of the commercial door service department in our Omaha, NE office, driving daily execution against customer commitments. You will plan, manage, and implement schedules that align resources with demand while safeguarding cost effective labor deployment. You will review workload and manpower levels continuously to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction. You will oversee project completion to ensure work is finished on time, within budget, and to the strictest quality standards. You will analyze monthly financial and operational reports, collaborating with front-line managers to design and execute corrective action plans. You will mentor and develop your field team through ongoing performance reviews focused on individual growth and year over year improvement. You will partner with leadership to support hiring initiatives, leading training and development programs for new employees. You will fulfill additional assignments as directed by senior management to support broader business objectives.

What you'll do
Coordinate and direct the activities of commercial service technicians to ensure high quality door installation, maintenance, and repair.
Develop and maintain accurate schedules that optimize technician routes and response times while meeting customer expectations.
Analyze service demand patterns and manpower availability to balance workloads and control labor costs effectively.
Monitor project timelines rigorously, intervening proactively to keep installations and repairs on schedule and under budget.
Examine financial and operational reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities for the service department.
Lead structured performance reviews for field staff, providing feedback, coaching, and career development guidance.
Support the recruitment process by defining role requirements, screening candidates, and facilitating training programs for new hires.
Uphold company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in all service department operations.
Serve as a key point of contact for escalated customer issues, working to resolve concerns and sustain high satisfaction levels.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to align service capacity with commercial growth initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and customer experience in the commercial door segment.
Utilize technical knowledge of door systems and mechanical applications to guide troubleshooting and complex installations.
Maintain strong documentation of service activities, decisions, and outcomes to support transparency and future analysis.
Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and professionalism across the field service organization.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree, which is highly preferred, and bring a minimum of two years of experience managing personnel in a service or field environment.
Demonstrate a proven ability to communicate effectively with customers, ensuring satisfaction levels consistently exceed expectations.
Review customer survey data systematically and respond promptly to customer concerns to drive service improvements.
Show competence in technical applications and mechanical systems relevant to commercial door hardware, operators, and related equipment.
Possess a Valid Driver's License and maintain a good driving record suitable for regional travel.
Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements for the position offered.
Pass successful completion of employment verifications, background checks, drug screening, and driving record review where applicable.
Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines in all professional interactions.
