About the role
Deputy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the strategic evolution of our workforce management platform as we transition into an AI-native organization. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for a core portfolio that serves 1.5 million hourly workers spread across 375,000 workplaces globally. You will define the long-term vision and translate it into a clear roadmap that balances user needs with complex compliance and payroll requirements across diverse jurisdictions. The position requires you to act as the central orchestrator of product initiatives that carry significant strategic weight for the entire organization. You will leverage advanced analytics to uncover growth paths and shape data-driven decisions that directly impact product-market fit. This role involves mentoring junior product managers to elevate the entire product organization's capabilities and career trajectory. You will manage and align stakeholder expectations through consistent and clear communication, ensuring transparency at every stage. Ultimately, you will architect scalable solutions to solve some of the most complex product hurdles in the scheduling and compliance domain.

Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field that provides a foundational understanding of technology and business principles.
- Bring 6-8 years of product management experience, demonstrating a track record of owning complex products and driving successful outcomes.
- Include at least 2 years of experience in a senior or lead capacity within a SaaS environment, where you have managed ongoing product iterations.
- Show technical aptitude, including the ability to read API documentation, understand data models, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting REST APIs and interpreting payloads to diagnose issues and guide development.
- Possess the ability to analyze complex compliance, payroll, and award interpretation scenarios, particularly across different legal jurisdictions.
- Exhibit the capacity to translate ambiguous and often conflicting requirements into clear, actionable product plans with defined success metrics.
- Have a strong understanding of the constraints and nuances involved in payroll systems, employment legislation, and pay compliance.

- Hold an MBA or advanced degree that provides additional strategic and business management perspectives.
- Bring direct experience with payroll systems, employment legislation, or pay compliance, particularly in a multinational context.
