About the role
You will own content deliverables end-to-end, guiding each piece from early drafts through stakeholder review to final approval within a global environment. You will translate complex policy requirements into clear, approachable messaging while maintaining the appropriate tone of voice across different channels. The role requires you to collaborate closely with global colleagues to produce educational and engaging content that helps customers navigate evolving expectations. You will act as the proactive glue that keeps projects moving efficiently across teams. This position is embedded within eBay, where you will support platform governance and live initiatives. You will manage multiple priorities simultaneously without losing momentum or the quality of the output. Your work will directly support sellers in understanding and complying with policy changes through thoughtful communication.

What you'll do
Write engaging content by developing emails, website posts, video scripts, and internal presentations that meet business objectives.
Adapt complex information for specific audiences by translating policy requirements into clear language while preserving accuracy and structure.
Collaborate with stakeholders globally to refine copy, ensuring deliverables are reviewed efficiently and approved on schedule.
Align messaging with the Platform Governance and eBay Live teams to maintain consistency in strategy and voice across international markets.
Manage multiple projects at once, balancing competing priorities, strict deadlines, and diverse stakeholder needs without compromising quality.
Utilize AI tools and automation to speed up workflows and enhance the clarity and quality of your writing where appropriate.
Support new initiatives that help sellers comply with evolving policies through precise, actionable, and accessible content.
Innovate with bold ideas that make content more compelling, effective, and aligned with user needs across different regions.
Coordinate content production across regions and time zones, including flexibility to support colleagues based in Europe when necessary.
Leverage proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and other collaboration tools to streamline communication and document sharing.
Ensure all content adheres to editorial standards and style guides to maintain a consistent and professional brand experience.
Provide constructive feedback to peers and incorporate thoughtful revisions that improve clarity, tone, and impact.
Own the full lifecycle of content projects, from initial concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Act as a reliable point of contact for global teams, keeping projects transparent, organized, and on track throughout every stage.
Requirements
8+ years of demonstrated experience in copywriting and content creation across formats such as emails, video scripts, messaging frameworks, briefs, announcements, and landing pages.
Excellent English writing and editing skills with an extremely sharp eye for detail in grammar, structure, and tone.
Experience working within a Content Management System is a plus for managing and publishing content efficiently.
Experience in e-commerce and a Marketing environment are a plus for understanding customer journeys and business constraints.
A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is a plus for foundational knowledge of messaging principles.
Familiarity with editorial standards and style guides to ensure consistency across all content outputs.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage work independently while keeping multiple projects on track and meeting deadlines.
Experience working with various stakeholders from different areas of expertise, including Legal, Product, and Customer Support teams.
Comfortable giving and receiving thoughtful feedback to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of content.
Experience collaborating across regions and time zones, with flexibility to adjust schedules to support Europe-based colleagues when needed.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and other collaboration tools to enable efficient communication and project management.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000 CAD. Salary is based on relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact.
