Product Manager, Double Order
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for Double Order, a flagship consumer bet that sits at the intersection of customer experience, marketplace economics, and real-world logistics. You will define the vision and translate it into a clear, measurable roadmap that balances the needs of customers, restaurants, and delivery partners. Your work will directly shape how millions of people experience Deliveroo, turning complex marketplace challenges into simple, high-impact solutions. You will partner deeply with Engineering, Design, Data, Logistics, Finance, and Market teams to ensure alignment and rapid, evidence-based iteration. Ultimately, you will be responsible for driving Double Order to become a scaled, lasting part of how people use Deliveroo and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own vision and strategy: Define and execute the end-to-end roadmap and OKRs for Double Order, taking it from early discovery through to a scaled, sustainable product.
- Balance complex marketplace dynamics: Solve for customer value and business growth alongside the underlying economics and logistics required to make multi-order journeys viable.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Logistics, Finance, and Market teams to ship, learn, and iterate at pace.
- Combine data with strong judgement: Lead experiment-driven development, navigating incomplete information, and knowing when to incrementally optimise versus completely rethink an approach.
- Align senior stakeholders: Communicate strategy, trade-offs, and key learnings clearly to build wide organisation-level conviction in your domain's direction.
- Define and prioritise features: Translate customer and marketplace insights into a clear product backlog, ensuring the team is always focused on the highest impact work.
- Own metrics and outcomes: Set clear success metrics, monitor performance rigorously, and use data to iterate and prove the impact of Double Order on the business.
- Manage dependencies and risk: Identify technical, operational, and regulatory dependencies early, and work with partners to mitigate risks proactively.
- Represent the customer: Bring deep empathy and evidence from the marketplace into strategic decisions to ensure the product delivers real value to users and partners.
- Build and evolve the product framework: Establish the foundational principles, patterns, and processes that will allow Double Order to scale efficiently over time.
Requirements
- Demonstrated product ownership: Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes for consumer-facing products operating at scale.
- Broad domain experience: Breadth across multiple stages of the customer journey (e.g. checkout, discovery, pricing, retention) with an ability to connect strategic dots across complex systems.
- Navigating ambiguity and trade-offs: Experience taking ownership of high-stakes, ambiguous problems and balancing competing business priorities within a marketplace, platform, or low-margin environment.
- Analytical and commercial rigour: Strong quantitative skills paired with sound business instincts to validate hypotheses and make consequential calls.
- Cross-functional and stakeholder leadership: Proven ability to build trust across multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, Finance) and align senior stakeholders on difficult trade-offs.
- Exceptional communication: Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies with conviction.
- Experience in marketplace or logistics environments: Familiarity with the constraints and opportunities of multi-sided platforms, logistics, and delivery operations.
- Comfort with data and experimentation: A strong grasp of metrics, A/B testing, and analytical tools to drive decision-making in ambiguous contexts.
Nice to have
- Experience with bundling, multi-order, or complex marketplace logistics products.
- Deep familiarity with large-scale experimentation frameworks and product development.
Practical notes
This is a hybrid role based from our London River Building HQ. The role sits within a global organisation, and collaboration with teams across DoorDash and Wolt is expected. You should be prepared to work closely with cross-functional partners to ship, test, and iterate quickly. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and be comfortable making high-impact decisions with incomplete information.
