About the company
Deliveroo is a British multinational online food delivery company. It has been owned by DoorDash since a takeover completed in October 2025. The business is headquartered in London. As of August of the previous year it worked with around 182,000 restaurants, grocers, and retailers. The platform connects consumers with local food and grocery options through a mobile app and website. The firm provides delivery and technology services for on-demand grocery to major UK retailers. This part of the operation supports rapid fulfilment from physical stores. Deliveroo Editions is a subsidiary that operates dark kitchens for the preparation of delivery-only meals. These sites allow restaurant partners to expand into new areas without opening a traditional dining room. The company listed on the London Stock Exchange through an initial public offering. The debut was widely reported as one of the worst in the exchange's history. Shares fell sharply on the first day of trading. Deliveroo continues to focus on logistics technology and network density. It aims to improve delivery speed and selection for customers. The business operates in a competitive European market. It invests in routing algorithms and rider coordination tools. The goal is to maintain a reliable service across its operating zones.
