Key Responsibilities
Your daily work will focus on ensuring seamless logistics and communication. You will coordinate activities between plant operations, sales, and field personnel to maintain smooth transportation workflows. Using tools such as Nextraq, you will monitor driver activity and ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations and internal safety standards. A key duty involves overseeing vehicle maintenance and inspections, scheduling necessary service, and confirming roadworthiness, cleanliness, and proper function of all equipment.
You will be responsible for ensuring manifest and order accuracy. This involves a thorough review of load sheets and smart container quality to meet specific customer requirements. The role requires you to analyze route efficiency to achieve cost savings and support ongoing improvements in logistics processes. You will also support driver communication and training, preparing memos and assisting with health and safety compliance. Additional duties include assisting with logistics projects and handling administrative tasks, such as vendor and customer communication and process implementation.
Requirements and Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in Transportation Support or dispatch roles, preferably within regulated environments. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is a mandatory requirement. While box truck driving experience is preferred, it is not a prerequisite for employment. Candidates must possess a clear understanding of transportation rules, logistics patterns, and distribution procedures. Experience in evaluating customer needs, measuring service quality, and tracking satisfaction metrics is essential.
Proficiency with common software applications is required, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs. The ability to commute reliably to our Salt Lake City, UT plant for scheduled shifts is necessary.
