What you'll do

You will architect and drive the execution of program management frameworks that align research ambitions with engineering reality and commercial timelines. You will translate ambiguous scientific questions into clearly defined program objectives, milestones, and success metrics that keep cross-functional teams synchronized. You will establish feedback channels that ensure experimental data flows seamlessly back into model training loops, accelerating the rate of scientific learning. You will coordinate complex scientific campaigns, managing dependencies, compute planning, and resource allocation to keep projects on schedule and within scope. You will serve as the primary technical liaison for high-profile industry and academic partners, ensuring their objectives are integrated into project plans and delivery roadmaps. You will facilitate deep technical dialogues that align internal researchers with external stakeholders to maintain clarity on goals, constraints, and timelines. You will own the scoping, proposal, and negotiation processes for new partnerships and customer projects, translating needs into realistic execution plans. You will manage end-to-end delivery of customer pilot initiatives, overseeing timelines, risks, dependencies, and handover activities to ensure successful deployment. You will implement and refine metrics that track program health, technical milestones, and outcomes to support data-driven decision-making. You will contribute to process standards that improve model development lifecycles and strengthen end-to-end technical delivery across the organization.

Requirements

You possess a strong educational or professional background in a Natural Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a closely related quantitative field. You have demonstrated experience as a Technical Program Manager in scientific, research-driven, or AI/ML-intensive environments where technical depth is essential. You are technically fluent across model architecture concepts, cloud infrastructure platforms, and the software development lifecycle in modern engineering organizations. You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that require coordination among AI researchers, chemists, and engineers. You can navigate high ambiguity while maintaining alignment and momentum across multi-disciplinary teams. You communicate effectively with highly technical researchers as well as non-technical partners, adjusting your style to match the audience and seniority level. You think strategically and solve complex problems even when requirements are evolving and priorities are uncertain. You have direct experience managing technical projects that involve external customers, partners, or research institutions. You are comfortable making decisions based on incomplete information while clearly communicating trade-offs and risks to stakeholders. You are disciplined in documentation, planning, and follow-through, ensuring that programs are predictable and transparent. You are a collaborative leader who fosters psychological safety and an interdisciplinary team culture.
