About the role
The is responsible for architecting and maintaining the operational backbone that supports a high-growth AI environment. You will own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of core People Operations systems and processes. This role requires a proactive mindset focused on removing operational friction across the entire employee journey. You will act as a strategic advisor, translating complex operational data into actionable insights for leadership. A significant portion of this role involves ensuring consistency and compliance across a multi-country workforce. You will partner closely with the Head of People to drive initiatives that enhance the employee experience from onboarding to departure. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to execute efficiently while scaling processes sustainably. You will be the operational expert who ensures that people programs run smoothly, transparently, and in alignment with global standards.

What you'll do
Streamline the end-to-end employee lifecycle by mapping current workflows and identifying automation opportunities within HR systems.
Own the configuration, maintenance, and data integrity of at least one core HRIS, ensuring all employee records, events, and policies are accurately reflected.
Champion data governance by establishing clear standards for data entry, verification, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Interpret and implement UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan employment legislation into operational procedures and system rules.
Lead complex projects cross-functional initiatives, breaking down objectives into detailed task lists and managing timelines under tight deadlines.
Develop and maintain comprehensive policy documents and process guides that are clear, concise, and accessible to a global audience.
Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to optimize the onboarding journey, ensuring new hires have a seamless and engaging start.
Monitor key HR metrics and generate regular reports to track workforce trends, compliance, and the health of employee programs.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert advice and resolving operational issues related to people processes.
Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback, auditing existing systems, and proposing enhancements that increase efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in People Operations or a generalist HR role with a strong focus on operational execution.
Demonstrate a proven ability to own and configure HR systems with an uncompromising focus on data integrity, accuracy, and workflow optimization.
Show practical knowledge and experience applying employment laws specific to the UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan.
Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, with a consistent track record of identifying and rectifying discrepancies in data, policies, and processes.
Display strong prioritization and time management skills, effectively managing multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Communicate clearly and professionally in writing, producing structured process documentation, policy guidelines, and executive summaries.
Build and maintain trust with cross-functional teams, fostering open communication and achieving alignment between stakeholders at all levels.
Leverage strong project management and self-organization abilities to manage ambiguity and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortably navigate rapid change and ambiguity, adapting procedures and priorities as the company evolves and scales.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive employee information and confidential matters.

Bring prior experience working within a fast-paced technology or AI company, understanding the unique dynamics of rapid growth.
Show familiarity with a diverse range of HR tools and software platforms beyond core HRIS systems.
Demonstrate proficiency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to the company's operational regions and workforce.
Have a background in developing and managing global talent acquisition strategies and employer branding initiatives.
Possess knowledge of employee engagement, pulse surveys, and retention strategies to proactively address workforce needs.
Practical notes
This role reports directly to the Head of People, who is based in Amsterdam.
Occasional travel to other company locations may be necessary for collaboration and team-building activities.
