Solutions Engineer
Job description
About the role
Solutions Engineer owns the technical work for enterprise deals from discovery through RFP response. This role builds the playbook from scratch, reduces engineering distractions for sales, and serves as the trusted technical advisor to Revenue.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.
Key facts
What you'll do
Enterprise opportunity discovery and tailored demonstrations address the prospect's stack and use case, ensuring alignment before design work begins. Integration designs covering APIs, TMS/ERP/WMS, and custom workflows are produced, and clean handoff documentation for Implementation is delivered for smooth execution.
RFP, RFI, and security questionnaire responses are owned and maintained as a reusable library, enabling consistent and efficient responses over time. Proof-of-value pilots are designed and executed, with success criteria defined and outcome reporting delivered to stakeholders. Sales enablement is driven through AE training, battlecard creation, and maintenance of the demo environment to support enterprise selling.
Requirements
The posting states a bachelor's degree requirement. API and integration fluency is required, including reading documentation, writing calls in Postman or curl, and explaining REST, webhooks, and authentication to non-technical buyers. Discovery and scoping instincts are necessary to ask the right technical questions and translate them into clear integration designs that match customer environments. Executive presence with VP and C-suite buyers is required, remaining calm, credible, and articulate under pressure to build trust at scale. Demo craft is needed to build tailored presentations that treat every demo as a product landing, focusing on value and fit for the audience. Cross-functional range across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success is mandatory to navigate complex enterprise workflows.
Nice to have
Reading Curri's API documentation ahead of time and arriving with thoughts on integration patterns or gaps demonstrates preparation and accelerates early discussions. Founder or operator experience, meaning having built or shipped something yourself, brings credibility and deeper empathy with customers. Prior experience with construction, industrial, or distribution buyers provides context for their workflows and constraints. A natural instinct for coaching and leveling up the AEs around you strengthens the team's overall capability and confidence.
What is in it for you
First SE at Curri offers full ownership to define the playbook, demo environment, and scoping process from the ground up. Direct influence on the Product and Engineering roadmap is based on what you bring back from the field, shaping priorities through real customer input. Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, and 401K support long-term stability. Fully remote work with occasional travel allows flexibility while engaging with enterprise customers when needed. A high-growth, mission-driven environment ensures your work has direct and measurable impact on how the world delivers construction and industrial supplies.
