You will take on meaningful ownership of features and systems within the Crunchyroll web application, one of the primary ways millions of fans around the world discover and watch anime. Working with JavaScript and TypeScript, you will build, optimize, and evolve a large-scale web application that demands thoughtful engineering at every layer. This is a software engineering role where the challenges center on performance optimization at scale, complex state and data management, and cross-team integration. You will have the autonomy to drive features from design through delivery while collaborating closely with product, design, and platform engineering teams. The role requires delivering reliable experiences to a global, high-traffic audience and supporting operational excellence through on-call rotations and incident response. Requirements

You have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.

You are proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, or have strong fundamentals in another language and are ready to work primarily in these technologies.

You have experience building or contributing to web applications used by real users.

You communicate effectively and collaborate naturally across teams and disciplines.
