Cribl is hiring a Sales Engineer to join their team on a remote basis across the United States. What you'll do
- Partner with the sales team to deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
- Identify and articulate the technical strengths of the Cribl platform in relation to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address customer technical questions and concerns.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures and solution briefs for various use cases and industries.
- Participate in pre-sales activities including discovery calls, proof-of-concept planning, and technical evaluations.
- Create tailored demonstrations that showcase how Cribl solves specific data pipeline and observability challenges.
- Work with account executives to craft compelling proposals that align technical capabilities with customer business goals.
- Provide post-sale technical support to ensure smooth onboarding and continued customer success.
- Gather customer feedback and relay insights to product and engineering teams for future development.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites or industry events as needed to support the sales cycle.
- Lead technical deep-dive sessions with engineering teams to qualify opportunities and assess fit.
- Support the creation of case studies and white papers that highlight customer success stories.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data pipeline architectures, log management, and observability concepts is essential for this role.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as sales engineer, solutions engineer, or technical pre-sales is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is a must.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data infrastructure tools and workflows is highly valued.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible scheduling to accommodate customer time zones across the country.
- Demonstrated track record of supporting successful sales engagements and closing technical deals in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in helping customers adopt new technologies successfully.
