About the role

You will architect and own the end to end supply chain systems that define how DIS-TRAN Steel operates on a daily basis. This position requires you to model respect and integrity in every interaction with your internal and external stakeholders. You will be the analytical problem solver who turns complex operational chaos into structured, repeatable processes. The role is designed for someone who finds motivation in building reliable systems that remove variability and improve performance over time. You will work cross functionally with production, project execution, and customer service to ensure alignment on delivery expectations. Your decisions will directly influence the accuracy of procurement, the efficiency of logistics, and the strength of supplier relationships. You will use data as your primary tool to identify gaps, forecast needs, and drive continuous improvement across the network. This is a leadership position where your ability to create structure and enforce standards determines the reliability of the entire supply chain.

What you'll do

Establish and maintain the end to end supply chain strategy that integrates procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing, and supplier management.

Own the planning and execution of MRO inventory management to ensure critical maintenance repair and operations supplies are available when needed.

Lead the receiving and warehousing functions to ensure goods are processed accurately, stored efficiently, and tracked with complete data integrity.

Develop and strengthen supplier relationships by acting as the primary liaison for key accounts and driving performance based on agreed standards.

Oversee logistics and transportation activities, coordinating the movement of materials and finished goods to support production and customer delivery.

Implement robust procurement processes that align sourcing decisions with cost targets, quality requirements, and delivery timelines.

Provide leadership for the supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams, setting expectations and fostering a culture of accountability.

Use data analysis to identify trends, resolve bottlenecks, and create structured improvements that increase reliability across the supply chain.

Manage the flow of project specific materials ensuring that production and project execution requirements are consistently met.

Create and maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring that inventory, receipts, and supplier interactions are documented for traceability.

Establish cross functional communication with production and customer service to align on priorities and resolve issues that impact delivery.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance the overall efficiency of supply chain operations.

Ensure compliance with company values by modeling respect and integrity in every interaction with internal teams and external partners.

Set performance metrics and monitor key indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier management.

Requirements

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.

You must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

You must pass a background check and a drug test as part of the hiring process.

You must be able to pass any additional assessments required by the company to ensure fitness for the role.

You must be at least eighteen years of age at the time of employment.

You must have reliable transportation to report to work in Pineville, Louisiana consistently.

You must have a professional attitude and the ability to follow all company policies and safety procedures.

You must be able to communicate effectively in English with team members and stakeholders.

Nice to have

Preferred experience in a steel, manufacturing, or industrial supply chain environment.

Experience leading teams and managing direct reports in a warehouse or logistics setting.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and data driven decision making.

Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier relationship management.

Experience with MRO inventory categories and understanding of production support environments.

This is a regular full time position based in Pineville, Louisiana.

You will need reliable transportation to commute to the worksite consistently.
