You are expected to own the entire technical narrative from initial discovery through solution validation. You will act as a critical technical partner, guiding clients through the complexities of modern AI infrastructure deployment. What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer AI and compute requirements, extracting detailed use cases and success criteria.
- Design comprehensive solutions using our GPU compute, networking, and storage infrastructure, tailoring architectures to specific workload patterns.
- Manage the technical relationship with key accounts throughout the integration process, acting as the central point of contact for technical inquiries.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams to resolve complex deployment hurdles, facilitating cross-functional communication to unblock progress.
- Provide technical guidance to clients on optimizing workloads for our cloud environment, sharing best practices for performance and cost efficiency.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product development, capturing nuanced requirements and escalating them effectively.
- Develop and present technical proposals and architecture diagrams that clearly illustrate the solution approach and value proposition.
- Conduct pre-sales technical assessments, evaluating feasibility and identifying potential risks or dependencies early in the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with product management to influence the roadmap based on real-world customer demands and infrastructure constraints.
- Mentor junior team members on technical best practices and solution design principles, elevating the overall capability of the team.
- Analyze performance metrics and deployment logs to troubleshoot issues and refine solutions for optimal operation.
- Establish thought leadership within the technical community by contributing to discussions on AI infrastructure trends and challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical customer-facing role within cloud infrastructure or high-performance computing, demonstrating a track record of success.
- Deep understanding of GPU architectures and large-scale AI training or inference workflows, including data parallelism and model parallelism concepts.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering and executive stakeholders, adjusting the narrative for the audience.
- Experience managing technical projects or teams in a fast-paced environment, showing strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure management, including container orchestration and scheduling principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders, leveraging asynchronous and synchronous communication effectively.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking, storage, and compute resources as they apply to modern data center environments.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary to conduct on-site assessments and deepen customer relationships.
