What you'll do
- Direct daily physical security operations and personnel at the data center site, ensuring all activities align with CoreWeave's security objectives.
- Monitor and maintain security systems, access controls, and surveillance protocols to guarantee continuous protection of infrastructure.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and physical security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, establishing strong working relationships for rapid response.
- Develop and enforce site-specific security policies and emergency response plans tailored to the unique requirements of the facility.
- Manage incident reporting and perform investigations into any security breaches or policy violations, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of access control systems, including biometric and credential-based entry solutions.
- Supervise the performance of on-site security staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback to uphold operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to data center security.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to align security initiatives with broader business goals and operational timelines.
- Implement surveillance strategies utilizing CCTV and other monitoring technologies to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Maintain detailed logs of all security-related activities, providing clear and accurate records for review and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to address security concerns that intersect with technology and infrastructure management.
- Lead drills and training exercises to prepare the security team and staff for various emergency scenarios.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data center security management or a related physical security leadership role, demonstrating a history of successful oversight.
- Deep understanding of physical security infrastructure, including CCTV, badge access systems, and perimeter defense mechanisms.
- Ability to remain on-site in Kenilworth, NJ, as the role requires full presence to effectively manage operations and respond to incidents.
- Strong communication skills for managing security staff and reporting to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Experience with incident management and emergency response coordination, including the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrated capability to develop, implement, and enforce security policies that align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in security management or a related field is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, as this role involves sensitive security responsibilities and on-site presence.
