What you'll do

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and high performance.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying trends and variances to inform management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of tax returns, working closely with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in accounting to ensure Bamboohr remains competitive and compliant.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors, translating complex financial information into actionable insights.
• Drive initiatives to improve financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to enhance reporting capabilities and efficiency.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing financial insights that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a corporate environment.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with advanced financial modeling is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards and regulations.
• Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes.
