What you'll do

Perform systematic field investigations and geological assessments to collect essential data for engineering projects, ensuring strict adherence to established industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Utilize advanced surveying and geotechnical equipment to conduct detailed analyses of soil, rock, and groundwater samples, determining their physical and chemical properties to inform project development.
Collaborate closely with project managers and engineering specialists to devise site-specific plans and recommendations derived from your geological findings and field observations.
Prepare comprehensive reports and detailed documentation that summarize field activities, analytical findings, and strategic recommendations for stakeholders and project decision-makers.
Operate sophisticated geotechnical instruments and surveying tools to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected in the field.
Engage in proactive site visits and thorough inspections to verify that all field operations are executed safely and in strict compliance with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
Contribute to the preparation of compelling proposals and professional presentations that effectively communicate your findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance your technical expertise and improve the continuous improvement of our operational processes.
Foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration by working closely with diverse teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination to achieve overarching project goals.
Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members, sharing your technical knowledge and field experience to help develop their professional skills and capabilities.
Identify, analyze, and resolve any field-related issues that emerge during project execution, implementing solutions that minimize disruptions to timelines and budgetary constraints.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in field engineering or geological assessments within a demanding technical environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in geotechnical investigation techniques and equipment, including but not limited to drilling procedures and systematic sampling methods.
Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and make informed, timely decisions that impact project success.
Communicate effectively through excellent written and verbal skills, conveying intricate technical information clearly to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Show familiarity with relevant software tools commonly used for data analysis, geological modeling, and project management applications.
Maintain a valid driver's license and demonstrate a willingness to travel to various project sites, including remote locations, as required by project demands.
Capability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities and project needs in a dynamic professional landscape.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills in all assigned tasks.

Nice to have

Hold a Master's degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline, which provides advanced knowledge and specialized expertise.
Possess direct experience with environmental assessments and a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related software platforms used for spatial analysis and data visualization.
Obtain certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or as a Geologist (PG), indicating a recognized level of professional competency.
Have previous experience working within a consulting environment, successfully managing client relationships across various industry sectors.
