About the role
This position offers a leadership opportunity to shape the commercial trajectory of Coherus Oncology. The Vice President, Immuno-Oncology Marketing will own the complete commercial lifecycle of LOQTORZI (toripalimab-tpzi) within the immuno-oncology therapeutic area. You will act as the primary brand strategist, crafting the narrative that defines therapeutic value for key stakeholders. Success in this role hinges on seamless collaboration with commercial leadership and cross-functional partners to execute the commercial strategy. You will be responsible for leading integrated marketing initiatives that balance personal and non-personal approaches to drive meaningful adoption. This includes directing sales force enablement, corporate account planning, and engagement with key thought leaders in the field. You will also oversee tactical execution across digital and print channels to maintain a strong and consistent brand presence. A core component of this role is the continuous optimization of return-on-investment, coordination with the agency-of-record, and disciplined management of the promotional budget. You will further be expected to develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of marketing professionals and liaison specialists. The position extends to shaping branding and storytelling efforts for the broader immuno-oncology portfolio beyond LOQTORZI.

What you'll do
- Architect the commercial strategy for LOQTORZI, defining the brand's market position and value proposition.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across personal and non-personal channels to maximize reach.
- Partner with Sales Management to design and deploy sales force enablement programs that equip the commercial team with compelling tools.
- Manage corporate account planning initiatives to align commercial objectives with key hospital and health system priorities.
- Coordinate with key thought leaders to generate evidence and insights that shape messaging and clinical adoption.
- Oversee the creation and deployment of digital and print marketing materials to ensure brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscapes to refine product positioning and messaging for specific segments.
- Optimize return-on-investment through rigorous performance tracking and data-driven marketing decisions.
- Manage the agency-of-record relationship and supervise the promotional budget to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of marketing professionals and liaison specialists to drive execution.
- Provide strategic direction for branding and storytelling efforts across the immuno-oncology portfolio.
- Partner with Commercial Operations and Market Access to ensure pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies are aligned.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs to ensure scientific insights support commercial messaging and educational initiatives.
- Guide tactical decisions across digital channels, including content, analytics, and campaign optimization.
Requirements
- Earn a bachelor's degree in business, science, or a related field; a master's degree, such as an MBA, is strongly preferred.
- Possess 15 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing.
- Demonstrate a proven history in oncology and rare disease marketing.
- Show broad expertise across both personal and non-personal marketing channels common in biopharma.
- Demonstrate skill in optimizing return-on-investment, managing an agency-of-record, and handling promotional budgets.
- Have experience marketing to key audiences including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, office practice managers, and trade organizations.
- Prove a strong ability to partner with Sales Management, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and cross-functional peers.
- Maintain a track record of successfully building and developing high-performing teams.
- Possess experience in the business of immuno-oncology or oncology-related injectables within buy-and-bill models.
- Exhibit strong judgment and the ability to operate with integrity in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence at all organizational levels.
- Show resilience and adaptability in managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commit to adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with biotechnology platforms and immuno-oncology treatment paradigms.
- Background in managing brands within the oncology therapeutic area.
- Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) data utilization.
- Knowledge of digital marketing technologies and content management systems.
- Prior experience working in a global or multi-regional pharmaceutical environment.
Practical notes
This is an exempt, full-time position based in Redwood City, California. The base salary range for this role is $290,000 to $335,000.
