About the role
At Coder, we are pioneering the first AI Development Infrastructure, which empowers enterprises to adopt autonomous workflows while maintaining complete control. This position is crucial for shaping and scaling Coder's narrative, establishing our presence as a thought leader in the industry, and enhancing our footprint in the enterprise market. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for crafting the product marketing vision and strategy, which will drive clarity and facilitate growth throughout the organization.

What you'll do
- Assess and enhance Coder's messaging to effectively communicate its significance in enterprise AI transformations, developing clear visual frameworks tailored for technical decision-makers.
- Work in tandem with Sales, Customer Solutions, and Product teams to discover and implement innovative use cases for Coder within agentic development.
- Lead the expansion of the Product Marketing team, overseeing the creation of thought leadership, developer relations, and enablement strategies.
- Direct a cohesive technical content strategy alongside Marketing, Product, and Customer Solutions to align product capabilities with customer requirements and market opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and insights that can inform product positioning and messaging.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Foster relationships with industry influencers and thought leaders to enhance Coder's visibility and reputation in the market.
- Analyze competitive landscape and market dynamics to refine product positioning and messaging strategies.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with product development.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating product value propositions.
- Monitor and report on the performance of product marketing initiatives, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and spearhead initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise cloud-native technologies, including DevOps, platform services, and AI infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success as a Product Marketing leader, managing multiple projects and collaborating effectively across various teams.
- Exceptional technical communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Comfortable and engaging in live presentations, both internally and externally.
- Experience in leading messaging, content development, research, and strategic planning efforts.
- Proven capability to mentor and grow a developing team.
- Willingness to travel 1 to 2 times per quarter for business needs.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and emerging developer tools, coupled with a strong inclination for experimentation.
- Familiarity with open-source and self-hosted environments, with an understanding of governance, control, and developer productivity.
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment, demonstrating adaptability and innovation.

Practical notes
- Coder aims to complete the interview process within a timeframe of two to four weeks.
- Candidates are permitted to utilize AI tools for take-home assessments, provided they disclose their usage.
- AI assistance is not allowed during conversational interviews to ensure a fair assessment of candidates.
- Coder employs AI tools (such as Ashby for application review and Granola for note-taking) to streamline recruitment processes, but all hiring decisions are ultimately made by human evaluators.
