About the role
You will own the end to end growth of enterprise accounts by bringing Coder's platform to the world's largest engineering organizations. This position is centered on building trusted relationships, shaping complex deals, and ensuring enterprise customers clearly understand the strategic value of our platform. You will manage the full sales cycle with ownership of quota attainment, pipeline creation, and predictable deal execution. You will act as the primary advocate for the enterprise customer inside Coder, aligning internal stakeholders to deliver outcomes that matter. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, a bias for action, and the ability to drive decisions in fast moving, AI centric environments. You will directly contribute to the company mission of making agentic AI a safe and trusted force in every software development lifecycle.

What you'll do here
- Build and close a strong pipeline of enterprise accounts within large engineering organizations across targeted industries.
- Generate qualified opportunities through disciplined outbound prospecting and strategic nurturing of inbound leads.
- Lead compelling product demos that differentiate Coder, articulating our value with clarity, confidence, and technical insight.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to design and deliver thorough technical evaluations that address complex customer requirements.
- Partner with executive decision makers and technical stakeholders to influence strategy, align priorities, and remove barriers.
- Travel as needed to support key deals, customer visits, and strategic meetings that strengthen long term relationships.
- Own the management of multiple deals through the entire sales cycle, forecasting outcomes, and mitigating risks proactively.
- Develop deep business cases and return on investment narratives that resonate with finance and technology leadership.
- Maintain precise records and pipeline hygiene in our systems to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient handoffs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales playbooks by incorporating feedback from customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate cross functional support with product, engineering, and customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption.
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing enterprise accounts to maximize lifetime value.
- Represent Coder at industry events, conferences, and virtual sessions that reinforce our brand and generate high quality interest.
- Balance an aggressive pipeline with a consultative approach that builds trust and long term customer advocacy.
Requirements
- Currently based in California, ensuring compliance with local regulations and time zone alignment for key stakeholders.
- Bring 5 or more years of software sales experience with a strong background in prospecting and deal execution.
- Demonstrate a history of 3 or more years selling into Fortune 500 companies and navigating complex enterprise procurement processes.
- Show experience engaging with software engineering leaders, platform architects, and technical decision-makers at scale.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, platform engineering concepts, and modern developer toolchains.
- Highlight experience with GenAI and agentic development tools such as Cursor, Claude, Windsurf, Goose, Copilot, or similar platforms.
- Prove comfort with outbound motion, including cold outreach, email sequencing, and multi channel engagement strategies.
- Partner effectively with Sales Engineers, demonstrating respect for technical depth and collaborative problem solving.
- Maintain a clear track record of exceeding quota, achieving pipeline goals, and sustaining high velocity in a B2B sales environment.
- Communicate persuasively in written, verbal, and presentation formats, adapting style to executive and technical audiences.
- Navigate different sales cycles, including startup, midsize, and enterprise environments, with flexibility and precision.
- Operate as a creative, analytical, and highly self motivated professional who takes ownership of results.
- Willingness to travel up to 15 percent of the time to support critical deals and relationship building activities.
- Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and data security protocols in every customer interaction.
- Align with Coder's mission, demonstrating commitment to agentic AI, security, governance, and developer empowerment.
- Thrive in a fast paced, matrixed organization where priorities shift quickly and problem solving is iterative.

Practical notes
Travel is required as needed to support deals and customer relationships.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements for the position location in San Francisco.
This role is full time, and hours are aligned with standard business operations in the San Francisco area.
