About the role
You will architect and own the end-to-end legal strategy that protects the company's core digital fashion assets and intellectual property. You will serve as the primary legal interface, translating complex business initiatives into clear, actionable, and compliant frameworks for internal stakeholders. You will proactively identify and mitigate legal risks across the entire virtual fashion workflow, from 3D design to global commerce. You will lead negotiations to ensure the company's partnerships and technology deployments are strategically sound and legally robust. You will provide authoritative guidance on regulatory compliance, ensuring all operations adhere to local and international standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed legal considerations directly into product development and go-to-market strategies. You will manage critical litigation and advisory matters, safeguarding the company's reputation and financial interests. You will act as a strategic advisor to leadership, providing timely legal insights that support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

What you'll do
Draft, review, and negotiate a comprehensive suite of commercial agreements, including but not limited to vendor, partnership, distribution, and service contracts, ensuring terms align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
Develop, implement, and maintain a cohesive intellectual property strategy, overseeing the protection and enforcement of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets related to 3D design software, digital assets, and virtual fashion platforms.
Provide definitive legal interpretations and guidance on the application of Korean laws and regulations, ensuring all company operations, data handling, and marketing activities are fully compliant.
Lead the development and maintenance of corporate governance policies, standard operating procedures, and legal documentation frameworks to streamline operations and mitigate exposure.
Advise on and structure transactions related to virtual goods, digital content, and e-commerce models, ensuring legal validity and enforceability across multiple jurisdictions.
Coordinate and manage external counsel relationships, overseeing litigation, dispute resolution, and the timely resolution of legal matters in a cost-effective manner.
Perform regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying potential gaps and implementing corrective actions to uphold the highest standards of corporate integrity.
Draft and review data privacy policies and data processing agreements, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations and the secure management of user and customer information.
Collaborate with product, design, and technology teams to ensure that new products, features, and digital assets are developed and launched with full legal compliance and risk mitigation.
Provide training and legal guidance to internal teams on contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and other relevant legal topics to foster a culture of compliance.
Requirements
You must be a licensed attorney admitted to the Bar of Korea in good standing.
You must possess a Bachelor's degree, and a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree is strongly preferred.
You must have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant in-house legal experience, demonstrating a proven track record in commercial and corporate law.
You must have extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts and legal documents.
You must have a deep understanding of Korean data protection and privacy regulations, including but not limited to the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
You must be proficient in Korean and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
You must demonstrate exceptional judgment, integrity, and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
You must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
You must be comfortable working with technology, software, and digital platforms, understanding the legal implications of emerging technologies.
Nice to have
Experience in the digital fashion, e-commerce, or software as a service (SaaS) industries is a distinct advantage.
Experience advising on global expansion, cross-border transactions, and international regulatory compliance is highly valued.
Practical notes
This role is based in Seoul and requires availability during standard business hours.
As this role interfaces with global teams, occasional after-hours coordination may be required to align with different time zones.
Travel is not required for this position.
