About the role
You will own the end-to-end onboarding experience for new and reactivated workers on the Clipboard app, ensuring they can successfully start their first shift. You will act as the primary guide, removing blockers and answering questions in real time through direct outreach. You will champion the worker journey, using each interaction to build trust and excitement around contributing to essential care. This role requires you to translate complex processes into simple, encouraging steps that make professionals feel prepared and confident. You will be a critical voice of the user, identifying friction and advocating for improvements to the onboarding system. Every day, you will partner with new hires to turn app registration into active, ready-to-work status. Your work will directly impact the stability of the healthcare workforce by enabling hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability.
Key facts
What you'll do
Make approximately 60 targeted outbound calls per day to Clipboard app users who have registered but not yet activated.
Host approximately 5 pre-booked 15-minute onboarding consultations daily to walk professionals through setup and requirements.
Send timely follow-up emails and text messages to answer questions and guide workers through remaining onboarding steps.
Respond promptly to inbound messages and support tickets, resolving issues that prevent activation.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of every interaction to ensure continuity and compliance.
Identify recurring pain points and opportunities to streamline the worker experience within the onboarding system.
Serve as the go-to guide and trusted partner, helping healthcare professionals feel confident, supported, and ready to work their first shift.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate systemic issues and contribute feedback based on real-world interactions.
Use onboarding metrics and call data to refine outreach scripts and improve completion rates.
Act as the first line of advocacy for workers, ensuring they understand policies, requirements, and next steps.
Drive activation rates by coaching users through technical hurdles and account verification steps.
Represent Clipboard with a professional, empathetic tone that reflects the company mission and brand voice.
Balance high-volume call cadences with personalized, solution-focused conversations.
Proactively share best practices and tips that help workers succeed in their roles from day one.
Requirements
You must enjoy talking to people, helping them succeed, solving challenges, and getting them excited about Clipboard and the work they do.
You must be comfortable making calls in a phone-heavy, fast-paced environment and love building rapport quickly with diverse professionals.
You must speak and write English clearly and professionally, ensuring messages are easy to understand and free of errors.
You must be highly organized, follow through on tasks reliably, and prevent details from slipping through the cracks.
You must be curious, resourceful, and consistently look for the root cause of a problem instead of stopping at the surface.
You must be quick to learn new tools and not afraid to master Clipboard's systems and workflows.
You must be observant, recognize pain points and opportunities, and be willing to step in and lead improvements where needed.
You must be able to work weekdays during US Eastern Time hours to support workers in those regions.
Nice to have
Previous experience in inside sales, client onboarding, customer support, or healthcare recruiting is helpful but not required.
A track record of quick learning, strong communication skills, and comfort with high-volume environments.
